Big Easy Restaurant
We Are Not a Ready-to-Eat / Fast-Food Style Restaurant!
The re-heat process is very simple. Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil and place the vacuum sealed bags in the water. Our web site has a re-heat chart with the timing for every item. The proteins are between 6 and 7 minutes, the vegetables are 4 to 5 minutes and the starches are 5 to 7 minutes. Once the individual items have been re-heated, use tongs and take them out of the water, cut open the bags and plate the items to your hiking. We have pictures of the before (in sealed bags) and after (on plates ready to eat), it takes no cooking skills other than bringing water to a boil and then timing the items in the hot water. The plating can be similar to ours or you can get creative and serve in your own artistic way. It tastes absolutely great either way.
